Mac OS X Hidden Dialog Box Issue Fix

A usability issue was confirmed with MAPublisher 9.6.1 and Mac OS X. It happens at the operating system level. Fortunately, a solution is available.

Affected platforms

• Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)
• Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

Symptoms

When multiple MAPublisher dialog boxes are open, the active dialog box may appear behind other inactive dialog boxes. As a result, the actual active dialog box is partially or fully hidden and no options can be selected or adjusted. Eventually, you may have to restart Adobe Illustrator.

Solution

This issue can be solved by upgrading to the latest Mac OS X (depending on your existing version either 10.10.5 or 10.11.2).

Note

This issue was found and verified with MAPublisher version 9.6.1. However, this issue may be found with an earlier version of MAPublisher as it happens at the operating system level.
